Gratitude
June 23rd. Yesterday, Brooke graduated from high school. Today, we had a graduation party. These events really drove home the many ways we are incredibly lucky and blessed. We threw a joint party with the Rascoes, who's daughter is among Brooke's oldest and dearest friends. We see the world in a very similar ways as them, and hope that we stay in touch beyond high school graduation. It wasn't surprising that family did so much to help us pull off the graduation party. Whenever an important family event occurs, everyone pitches in together without batting an eyelash. Chairs, tables and tents are gathered. People set aside time for food prep and setup. At the end of the evening, everyone pitches in once again for the cleanup. Family put in a tremendous amount of work, and for this we are immensely grateful.
